Of all the tools that small business owners use to promote their companies, the brochure is one of the most common. Virtually every small business has a brochure of some type extolling its virtues and benefits. Why are brochures so popular? In short, because they work. They are still tremendous advertising tools. Here are some reasons why.
1. They add credibility
As I already mentioned, virtually every small business uses brochures. In fact, any business that fails to do brochure printing will probably not be taken as seriously. Brochures have become so commonplace that customers have come to expect them. You cannot afford to have your business look cheap by failing to design a brochure printing.
2. They save time
In the old days, businesses would send individual letters to each of their prospective customers. As you can imagine, that is a very time consuming process. Brochures eliminate the need for individual letters by allowing you to put your best advertising pitches into one attractive package.
3. They build upon your other efforts
All of your advertising efforts must work together in order to maximize your profits. Brochures are very good at reinforcing your other, more highly priced ads. Television ads and radio ads become even more effective when you back them up with a slick well planned brochure printing.
4. They can be persuasive
When designed the right way, brochures can be wonderful advertising tools all by themselves. You can focus on your strongest features, and accentuate them in a brochure. Plus, you can generally control who receives your brochures, allowing you to further tweak their effectiveness. So you can use them to plan exactly what you want to say, and you can give them to the people you are targeting as customers.
5. They generate interest
Obviously, brochures are tremendous advertising tools. However, they are not typically considered “closers”. By that, I mean that brochures will rarely close the sale for you. They will, however, generate interest among your target customers. If you design the right kind of brochure printing, and distribute it to the right customers, you should have more opportunities to close sales.
Brochures are so common in the world of business because they continue to be effective. As we have gone over, use them to reinforce all of your advertising efforts and to drum up some additional interest in your business. There really is no excuse for failing to print brochures for your company. They are usually not extremely expensive, they save time, and they greatly enhance your promotional abilities. If your business is not using brochures, it is missing out on a money making opportunity. If you are serious about succeeding, you must invest in brochures.
